Amuras Vessel Refloating (2026)
Operational context
Refloating of a sunken fishing vessel alongside in the fishing port of Figueira da Foz, using lift bags, hull sealing and dewatering, with a licensed commercial diving team.
Divexpro led the refloating of the fishing vessel Amuras, sunk alongside in the fishing port of Figueira da Foz. The operation was licensed by the local Maritime Authority and carried out over three days in August 2026.
Work started with a survey of the hull and the sealing of openings, followed by the rigging of lift bags and the placement of containment booms around the vessel. The Amuras was back on the surface at the end of the second day; the third day was used to pump out the remaining water and demobilise.
The diving team worked under Portuguese commercial diving regulations, with a dedicated supervisor, surface support and land logistics for the compressor, pumps and lifting equipment.
